Horseback in the Bahamas: Nassau & Harbour Island

Day 1

ITALY / NASSAU (-/-/D)
The Bahamas are the perfect destination for those dreaming of crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and a relaxed Caribbean atmosphere. From Nassau to Harbour Island, this journey combines relaxation, nature, local culture and some of the archipelago’s most iconic experiences, including the famous swimming pigs.
Horse lovers will also have the opportunity to enjoy unforgettable rides along the beach, surrounded by pale sand, turquoise waters and breathtaking scenery. This is not a traditional riding holiday, but rather a journey through the Bahamas designed for travellers who wish to combine the sea, discovery and the pleasure of experiencing a few very special moments on horseback.
An exclusive itinerary through Nassau, Harbour Island and some of the Caribbean’s most beautiful beaches, with carefully selected riding experiences offering a truly unique way to discover the Bahamas.

Upon arrival at Nassau International Airport (NAS), you will be welcomed by our local representatives and transferred to Breezes Hotel, a pleasant all-inclusive beachfront resort ideally located along one of the most popular stretches of Cable Beach.

Day 2

NASSAU (B/L/D)
Horseback riding experience at 9:30 am or 2:30 pm, subject to availability.
Pick-up from your hotel and transfer to the stables, surrounded by lush Caribbean vegetation. After meeting your horse and guide, you will set off on an enjoyable horseback ride lasting approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, suitable for riders of all levels.
The trail winds through the peaceful natural surroundings of Coral Harbour, following paths immersed in tropical vegetation and offering glimpses of the more authentic side of New Providence.
Gradually, the landscape opens up towards a private stretch of Bahamian coastline, where pale sand meets the turquoise waters of the Caribbean. This is a particularly memorable part of the experience, riding with the sound of the sea, the tropical breeze and the wonderfully relaxed atmosphere of the Bahamas all around you.

Day 3

NASSAU (B/L/D)
At approximately 9:30 am, departure from your hotel for an original panoramic tour lasting around three hours, dedicated to discovering Nassau and its fascinating history connected to the Golden Age of Piracy.
Aboard a customised Pirate Jeep, accompanied by a local costumed guide, you will visit some of the most interesting locations in the Bahamian capital while hearing stories, curiosities and legends about the pirates who shaped the island’s past.
A fun and engaging excursion, also suitable for families and anyone wishing to discover Nassau from an unusual perspective.
Included: private local guide, transportation by Pirate Jeep, admission to the scheduled stops during the tour and bottled water.
The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 4

NASSAU (B/L/D)
Departure from the hotel from 9:00 am, or alternatively at 2:00 pm, for an experience dedicated to wellness, nature and the pleasure of enjoying the Bahamas at a slower pace.
The experience begins with a guided 55-minute yoga session, designed to relax the body, restore balance and prepare for the horseback ride in an atmosphere of calm and connection with the surrounding environment.
Afterwards, you will meet your horse and guide before setting off on a ride of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes through the natural vegetation of Coral Harbour.
The trail leads to a private beach, where you will have the opportunity to ride along the coast surrounded by nature, white sand, turquoise waters and the peaceful atmosphere for which the Bahamas are renowned.
The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 5

NASSAU / ROSE ISLAND / NASSAU (B/L/D)
Departure from the hotel at approximately 9:00 am and transfer to the embarkation point.
After a short and scenic boat ride of approximately 25 minutes, you will reach beautiful Rose Island, a small private island surrounded by crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches.
Here, one of the Bahamas’ most iconic experiences awaits: meeting the famous swimming pigs of Rose Island.
The pigs have been raised and cared for by the local staff from a young age and are accustomed to visitors. Weather permitting, they spend part of their day both on the beach and swimming in the sea. You will have the opportunity to see them up close, interact with them and enjoy a fun and memorable experience in a truly unique Caribbean setting.
The island experience runs approximately from 10:00 am to 3:45 pm, leaving plenty of time for relaxation and other activities.
A full local lunch is included and is served at around 1:00 pm, together with soft drinks, local beers and tropical cocktails available from the bar.
During your stay, you may also join a guided snorkelling excursion, relax in a hammock, enjoy the island music or simply spend a few peaceful hours on the private beach.
Shaded oceanfront areas, freshwater showers, restroom facilities and beach activities are also available to guests.
Boarding for the return journey is scheduled for around 3:00 pm, with departure at approximately 3:15 pm, subject to sea conditions.
A carefree day of turquoise waters, Caribbean beaches, snorkelling and the irresistible swimming pigs of Rose Island — one of the most photogenic and surprising experiences in the Bahamas.

Day 6

NASSAU / HARBOUR ISLAND (B/-/-)
Departure from Breezes Hotel and transfer to Nassau International Airport.
Flight to North Eleuthera, the gateway to Harbour Island, followed by a transfer to the dock. From here, a short ferry crossing takes you to Harbour Island, separated from Eleuthera by just a few minutes of navigation.
Upon arrival, a golf cart will be waiting for you — the island’s most characteristic and enjoyable way to get around and explore independently.
Harbour Island is a small jewel of the Bahamas: peaceful, sophisticated and renowned for its pastel-coloured colonial houses and the relaxed atmosphere of Dunmore Town, which has earned it the nickname “the Nantucket of the Caribbean.”
The island’s most famous landmark is spectacular Pink Sands Beach, a stretch of delicately pink-hued sand extending for more than three miles along the Atlantic coast.
Its distinctive colour comes from tiny marine organisms known as foraminifera, whose fragments mix with the sand and coral to create the beach’s characteristic pink shades.

Day 7

HARBOUR ISLAND (-/-/-)
On Harbour Island, one of the most memorable experiences of the entire journey awaits: horseback riding along the celebrated Pink Sands Beach, one of the most iconic places in the Bahamas.
Riding along this extraordinary stretch of pink sand beside the Atlantic Ocean is a truly special experience, combining spectacular scenery, emotion and a wonderful sense of freedom.
Pick-up from your hotel for the start of the experience, which lasts approximately three hours in total.
After horses are assigned, you will set off towards spectacular Pink Sands Beach, famous worldwide for its delicate pink tones and its peaceful, exclusive atmosphere.
The ride is suitable for both inexperienced riders and more confident equestrians.
Beginners will be carefully accompanied by the guide, who will provide all the necessary instructions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
More experienced riders will be able to enjoy the ride at a livelier pace where conditions allow, taking in the magnificent scenery and the unforgettable sensation of riding along the shoreline with the ocean breeze and sound of the waves in the background.
For those wishing to discover a more authentic side of the island, the route may also extend beyond the beach onto inland trails surrounded by vegetation, passing palm trees, hidden views and gentle elevations that reveal the quieter charm of Harbour Island.

Day 8

HARBOUR ISLAND / NASSAU / ITALY (B/-/-)
After breakfast, transfer from the hotel to the Harbour Island dock and a short ferry crossing back to North Eleuthera.
Upon arrival, continue by road to North Eleuthera Airport for your direct flight to Nassau.
After landing in Nassau, proceed to the international departures area and complete check-in formalities for your return flight to Italy.
