Day 1: Arrival Transfer From Sjo Airport To San José City

Duration: 45 minutes approx. Upon arrival at Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), the guests will be warmly greeted by their tour guide, who will assist them with the transfer to their hotel. Upon arrival, the guide will provide a brief welcome, share essential information about the program, and ensure a smooth and well-organized start to their journey.

Day 2: Regular Transfer From San José To Tortuguero

Duration: 3 hours on route & 1 hour and 30 minutes on boat approx. * The provided time is approximate and may vary depending on the port where guests board or disembark. Early Departure to Tortuguero At the scheduled time, they will meet at the hotel reception for a transfer to the breathtaking Tortuguero region, located in Costa Rica’s North Caribbean. Renowned as one of the country’s top ecotourism destinations, Tortuguero National Park was established in 1970 to protect endangered sea turtles that nest along its shores. Its intricate network of canals, rivers, and lagoons showcases a remarkable fusion of rainforest, freshwater, and marine ecosystems, making it a true haven for research and ecotourism. Along the way, they will enjoy a stop in the town of Guápiles for a traditional Costa Rican breakfast at a private local restaurant before continuing to the pier. There, they will board a boat to Tortuguero, a journey that serves as a stunning introduction to the heart of the rainforest. As they navigate the winding canals, they can immerse themselves in the lush scenery, where vibrant shades of green and diverse wildlife create an unforgettable experience. Welcome to Tortuguero Upon arrival at the lodge, they will check in, settle into their room, and savor a delicious lunch. In the afternoon, they will enjoy a guided walk to the charming Tortuguero Village. This unique town, home to approximately 500 residents, is nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the tranquil canals. With no cars and only footpaths, Tortuguero offers an authentic glimpse into the relaxed Caribbean way of life. They will stroll through its colorful streets, interact with the friendly locals, and immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of this remote yet captivating community. Dinner included.

Day 3: Tortuguero National Park Boat Tour & Guided Walk Through The Lodge's Private Trails

Rise early for an unforgettable morning immersed in nature. They will enjoy the boat tour at sunrise through the breathtaking canals of Tortuguero National Park (entrance fee included), where the jungle awakens with the sounds of wildlife. They can capture stunning photos as they glide through the waterways, exploring a vast network of canals, lagoons, and dense rainforests with an expert naturalist guide. Tortuguero is home to an incredible diversity of wildlife, including 57 species of amphibians, 111 species of reptiles, and 60 species of mammals. They should keep their eyes peeled for monkeys, sloths, caimans, toucans, and other exotic creatures that thrive in this unique ecosystem. After this magical experience, they will return to the lodge to enjoy a well-deserved breakfast. At the appropriate time, the guide will take them on a guided walk through the lodge's private trails. Along the way, they may encounter monkeys, sloths, toucans, frogs, and a diverse array of exotic plants. This walk is perfect for nature lovers seeking an up-close encounter with the beauty and wonder of the Costa Rican rainforest. Lunch at the lodge. The rest of the day will be leisurely for them to enjoy their last afternoon in Tortuguero.

Day 4: Departure For La Fortuna, Arenal

Transfer from Tortuguero to Guápiles village Duration: 02 hours approx. * The provided time is approximate and may vary depending on the port where guests board or disembark. After breakfast, they will check out and prepare to continue their adventure. They will transfer by boat and land from Tortuguero to Guápiles, where they will enjoy a delicious traditional Costa Rican lunch at a local restaurant. From Guápiles to La Fortuna, Arenal Duration: 02 hours approx. From Guápiles onwards, the service will be private. After the lunch included, they will continue with the tour guide and the transfer to La Fortuna, Arenal, home to the majestic Arenal Volcano.

Day 5: La Fortuna, Arenal

Breakfast included at the hotel. Explore the Jungle from Above: Morning Hanging Bridges Adventure Duration: 03 hours approx. Visitors will enjoy an unforgettable walk through a series of hanging bridges surrounded by the lush Costa Rican rainforest. Along the trail, they will cross several bridges offering spectacular views of the forest canopy, where they can observe a variety of flora and fauna in their natural habitat. This tour perfectly combines adventure and serenity, providing a unique experience for those who wish to connect with nature from a safe and elevated perspective. Visiting the Natural Hot Springs in the evening Duration: 03 hours approx. They will unwind in the heart of the rainforest with a relaxing evening (around 17h) surrounded by nature’s beauty. They will enjoy a serene experience at a natural hot spring retreat featuring a series of thermal pools with different temperatures, all fed by the healing volcanic waters of the Arenal Volcano. They can immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere as they soak in the warm mineral waters, perfect for easing muscle tension and melting away stress. The peaceful setting, surrounded by lush tropical gardens, offers an ideal escape to reconnect with themselves and nature. Day 6: From La Fortuna, Arenal To Monteverde

Duration: 04 hours approx. Journey to Monteverde: The Enchanting Cloud Forest After the breakfast included, at the agreed time, they will embark on their journey to Monteverde — a destination that awakens the senses and ignites the spirit of adventure, offering something for every kind of traveler. This transfer combines a scenic boat ride across Lake Arenal with a land journey to Monteverde. During the 1.5-hour boat ride, they will enjoy stunning views of Arenal Volcano. Afterward, they will continue by land through picturesque rural roads, passing through mountainous landscapes and catching glimpses of the Gulf of Nicoya. It’s a comfortable and scenic way to connect these two iconic destinations. Upon arrival, they will check in at their hotel and take some time to relax, unwind, and enjoy the hotel facilities and the natural beauty that surrounds them. Dinner included.

Day 7: Monteverde

Breakfast included at the hotel. Traditional Coffee Tour Duration: 02 hours approx. Dive into the rich tradition of Costa Rican coffee, an authentic and educational experience. During this guided tour, they will learn about every stage of the coffee-making process — from planting and harvesting the beans to drying, roasting, and brewing. They will walk through the local plantation, observe traditional methods still used by local farmers, and gain insight into the cultural and economic importance of coffee in Costa Rica. Their guide will share fascinating stories and local knowledge, making the experience engaging and informative. To complete the visit, they will enjoy a coffee tasting featuring different types of Costa Rican coffee, paired with local snacks and fresh seasonal fruits — the perfect way to savor the authentic flavors of the region. After the tour, the rest of the day will be free for them to explore the area at their own pace or simply relax and enjoy their surroundings.

Day 8: From Monteverde To Sjo Airport

Duration: 03 hours approx. Farewell Costa Rica – Safe Travels! They will enjoy their final breakfast at the hotel before checking out and preparing for their journey back to San José. At the scheduled time, they will begin their transfer to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO). As they travel, they can take a moment to reflect on the unforgettable experiences, stunning landscapes, and warm hospitality that made their Costa Rican adventure so special.
